What's black and white and yummy all over?

I just had a black and white cookie with my coffee. I haven't had one of these calorie-laden treats in a while. Damn, I forgot how good they are.

I LOVE those things. But yes so many calories. I'd be afraid to eat one.

Damn now you're making me miss NY - you can't get a good black & white out here!

I have never seen those. Who makes em?

pickels and pumpernickel - I'm guessing you're not from NY! :) I don't think any company makes them, or at least, I've never seen them with any sort of label on the covering (they are usually sold loose in bakeries or wrapped in plastic in delis all over NY. They are a soft crumbly cookie or cake, with half topped in chocolate and half in vanilla (and there's where the name comes from). They are pretty good, I will admit.

picklesandpumpernickel, I think Entemann's makes a version of them, but they are small sized - the real ones are like 6 inches in diameter. And they are in a box and just don't taste as good as they ones you get from a bakery or deli.

Hey, my sister sent me a link to your web. I used to live in NYC about 4 years ago and I miss the black & whites and the bagels the most:( Also the guy who sells those sausages in the cart on 6th Ave by the Time-Life building. Is he still there do you know? The smell would get me hungry every time I passed they were so good.

renfrew there's a lot of carts by the T-L bldg. so I don't know if the guy you're talking about is still there. But there's a Greek guy who does amazing food. I don't usually eat at street vendors, but this guy I make an exception for.

A black and white with coffee - I treat myself about once a month and love it. And my coworkers love it too because there's no way I can finish one of them so they usually get at least a quarter :)
