Now here's a radical thought

In an effort to show they are serious about lobbying abuses, the House is moving to "cut lobbyists' influence." Here's an idea, kids. How about not taking the freakin' bribes to begin with. How about not accepting the vacations to Scottish golf courses or the $200 meals or the flights on corporate jets. How about actually not allowing the lobbyists who shower you with gifts into the room when the legislation affecting their taxes or environmental rules are being written. This is "stop me before I steal again" at its worst. And it makes it seem like the problem lies all with the sleazy lobbyists instead of with the sleazy (overwhelmingly Republican) politicans with their sweaty paws outstretched.
